Preparing The Rear Spoiler For Installation
SPOILER INSTALL
If the spoiler still has the old adhesive tape attached, it is recommended that you remove it and apply new 3M tape. It is a tedious process, best accomplished by soaking the old tape with 3M Adhesive Cleaner and using your fingers to roll the old tape off the spoiler.

After removal of the old tape from the OEM spoiler, you will notice faint ridged lines that outline the area where the tape was placed.

The graphic below approximates where the outlined areas are located. I'm guessing that the space between the 2 pieces of tape, on the front edge of the spoiler, is there to prevent water from pooling thus allowing it to drain off the rear of the trunk lid.

Cut each strip of tape long enough to provide a tab that can be used to pull off the strip protecting the tape.
