RPO CODES
GM RPO Codes:
Definition of RPO and Information:
RPO stands for Regular Production Option. GM RPO codes are usually three digits long, represented in the letters A through Z and the
numbers 0 through 9. Each vehicle has a group of codes assigned to it, unique to the build options found on that vehicle.
The label with the RPO codes on it is also known as the SPID (Service Parts Identification) Label. The location for the Caprice and
Impala SS is found affixed to the trunk lid. Locations for other GM vehicles are the glove box, door jam, under hood on the inner
fender well, spare tire cover, passenger side pillar etc.
RPO codes are useful to find out exactly what options or accessories are equipped on your vehicle.
